Me, Rolling Stones all the way!!!!

This question probably arises because they were the two biggest bands of the 60s. But you just can't compare them. The Beatles were masters of invention and pushed back the barriers of popular music. The Stones were (and still are) a damned good rhythm & blues outfit.
Both were equally brilliant - in their own area.

Having grown up in the Beatles, Rolling Stones years, I enjoyed both of the groups for the same reason, THEY PERFORMED GREAT MUSIC. Between the two groups I would choose the Beatles overall simply due to the Song Writers, McCartney and Lennon and the number of original tunes that became super hits, if I were going by longevity, It would clearly be the Rolling Stones with as many original members as they still have and they are still going strong!

Absolutely Stones.
The Beatles were like what you have with Panic! At the Disco and Fall Out Boy today: complete sell-outs. I also rate bands on "scream index": how loudly girls at their concerts scream. They can also be compared to Hannah Montana and all of them, they're really no different because their scream index is ear-pearcing to the point that there's a hole in your ear's anvil part. Whereas the Stones you just had them making music just because they thought it was good music. They didn't care who showed up to their shows while they were still playing <500 people places in their first years and their scream factor never really got over a couple of drunk shouts.

beatles no question the stones are allright just i dont know much about them and i like more of the beatles music.
