everytime i hand her my paper she smiles and says "thank you" she also seems anxious when im handing her my paper like shes eager to show me her politeness. Im also pretty quiet in her class and i attend everyday. im female and im pretty sure shes str8. lol..but im just curious as to why she acts this way towards me??

Maybe it's just cause you're quiet. People tend to try and be extra friendly towards quiet people. She might just be trying to get you out of your shell.

Maybe you just remind her of someone or she's really impressed with your work.
I have a few professors that I'm really close to and sometimes it's awkward handing in papers because I don't want to disappoint them and for them it's awkward because we talk all the time and they suddenly have to put their professorial faces on.
If it's creeping you out, maybe try talking to somebody about. Like a school councellor or something. They may have a better idea of how you should treat the situation.

You're a good student. Her favorite, perhaps.. I don't think that there's an attraction there... Some teachers allow their emotions to show through more than others, though. ^^ She likes you a lot.

Maybe you're just being paranoid. I have a friend who acts that way towards me and we both have boyfriends. It kind of bothers me sometimes, but I don't let it get to me.

It may be nothing sexual, she may just think highly of you based on class performance, or any creative, original, or well-thought out opinions you may have expressed in class.

some people are like that, they can see the characteristics of someone without having much contact with them! she probably just likes your personality even though she doesnt know you!!

If the professor is straight, she's probably trying to get you to participate in class more.
If she is bisexual or lesbian, she's hitting on you.
