Grip the bolt head with a pair of vice-grip pliers. This way it will not round off the head.

Penetrating oil as already suggested and let it soak right in. If you can support the back of the mount so as not to damage the crank then hammer on a socket spanner (any size that will fit the remains of the bolt really tightly) now use an impact driver.
If all else fails drain the engine and get a lug of some sort welded to the remains of the bolt head so you can use a good spanner, the heat from the welding will help free it up.

try spraying a penetrating oil (WD-40) on it and tapping the bolt head with a hammer to loosen it, before you try again. spray above the blade on the shaft where the bolt goes in to it too. if you were using an adjustable wrench, stop, get yourself a 6 point socket to avoid these problems. if you have damaged the head of the bolt, a 12 point socket might not work now. i got my 12 point socket at Sears, but with the 15/16 size, it will most likely be a 1/2" drive. good luck, hope this does it for you.

Whats your question ? You didn't list make model number ? Go to the manufacture web site Look up the diagrams of the mower parts they will have part numbers maybe a special bolt. Every product that has parts to its manufactures are required to keep in stock even if discontinued for quite a few years We need to look at make model to determine off label uses work-ability I guess give it shot if it breaks the mower Oh well, You gave it a shot. hope it helps Lr

I agree with the rest of the people that said VICE-GRIPS, but it got rounded for a reason. Try soaking it in liquid wrench first.
