Peace is "freedom" from strife,

We are a peaceful nation if you listen to government propoganda. According to them, everything our government does is to protect our "freedom" and "peace" here at home and to protect these ideals abroad. We are global crusaders that will kill anyone in the name of "freedom' or democracy. People tend to see things that way, especially if they live in the relative comfort of the suburbs. They don't see the death and destruction perpetrated around the world to maintain our economic and strategic dominance and thereby the "peace" here at home. The calling card of the Bush administration is "freedom isn't free". Yeah, it costs death and destruction to maintain our "freedom". Ughhh!!
