I can't say...it's definitely not "By the Way". I'm not gonna lie, I love a lot of songs of that CD but it's not their best. Nor is it "One Hot minute".
Let's see...
I love Freaky Styley and Uplift mofo...those are awesome...but as far as BEST goes...it's a close call between Bloodsugarsexmagik, Californication and Stadium Arcadium. Californication had a lot of awesome songs, and so does Stadium Arcadium, even though some people don't like their new stuff. Anyone who tells you it's not as good obviously hasn't listened to it the whole way through. There is so much funk and beauty on that album it's pure chili peppers. you also gotta love mother's milk.
I just realized-one of the best albums to listen to is "Live in Hyde Park" because they're amazing live and it has stuff from a lot of different cds. Greatest hits and what hits are also good compilations

You can't beat Blood Sugar Sex Magic, it's the absolute genius of the Chillis!!!!! Some top tracks, Give It Away and Suck My Kiss!!! You've really put me in the mood for the Chillis, Im gonna go it on right now!

Bloodsugarsexmagik without doubt. It still has a raw edge to it like their earlier albums but much better.
Their newer albums aren't dreadful (for the most part) but just nowhere as good.
(I think the album with my friends and aeroplane on it is one hot minute)

That's my second favorite. Mine is a tie for first of course Californication but i just cant not have By the way at the top also.
But my favorite songs are;
1 Fortune Faded.
2 This Velvet glove.

There is no question that BSSM is a great album in its time, but... Since they have all sobered up and brought Frusciante back musically there last two albums are much better than anything they had done prior.
