If you HAVE NO network port in the PC, use a USB lead from printer to PC direct and isntall the LOCAL driver in install set.
Most PCs in last few years had a min of 4 USB ports, but if short, buy a USB HUB, and plug 2 or 3 items to that.
But above all else READ the instructions on screen when you install and on the "quick start" guide it came with. If you need to connect from USB on PC, use USB on printer.
If you're still stuck, as it sounds like it's a new printer, contact the lexmark support No they give you, after all as it's their product THEY are the best people to answer your questions and they are quitrte used to doing so.

For a start the usb connection to the bt hub does NOT act as a network connection. It acts as an ordinary dialup modem lead. Your pc should have a network connector as standard, I don't think anyone has supplied one without for at least 5 years. If not buy a nnetwork card and install it. Use that to connect to the hub and your printing will work.

When you run the Install New Printer wizard you get 2 choices - Local (USB cable) and Network (IP address and Printer Server).

Guess which one you must have chosen ?

Uninstall the printer and start again. This time RTFM.
