Take magnesium supplements, you can get them at any drug store, 250 mg will do just fine. It is a natural muscle relaxer and is very beneficial to your health.

A heating pad or the TermaCare Heat Wraps work very nicely.

Heat usually helps more, since it will relax the muscles. Cold can contract them and make spasms more painful. Ibuprophen is generally better for muscle-based problems, but it sounds like a muscle-relaxant is what you truly need (prescription only, so head to the doctor!).

Ask your chiropractor about the back spasms. If s/he can't help you, go back to your general doctor and get a referral to someone who *can*. A bad back is going to have effects in all aspects of your life, so get it taken care of ASAP.

Go see a doctor and get some anti-inflamitorys prescribed. He may recomend a some physio. Cold works best for muscle spasms. if you can't afford prescribe drugs then Advil will work too.

Yes,heat will make it better for a while, but consider also if you are due for your period it must be P.M.S. back pain is one of the symptoms too.As we mature our bones tends to thin & somehow others were diagnosed w/ osteoporosis. There are some OTC-Calcium Vitamins,or foods thats rich in Calcium. If pain will not go...consider seeing your M.D.
