Equal....what people forget are the once law abiding citizens who do become murders...this isn't minority report.
How do we know who will be a criminal until they actually commit the crime?
Cho..whatever his name was...was a law abiding citizen until he when crazy...he was nuts but he never did anything wrong.
There is a prominent case in the south right now where a wife killed her preacher husband with a gun..she claims he beat her and such.
We hear about people shooting up their places of employment after being fired.
When you heard of all these cases how many of them were criminals until they did the act?

Surely as soon as a law abiding citizen murders someone they then become a criminal

Hey guess what...if your a law abiding citizen you would not commit any gun death. If you do your a *gasp* criminal.

Since suicide is illegal, gun deaths are very nearly 100% committed by criminals. Apart from the few justifiable homicides and police shootings that occur, every other death would be attibutable to a criminal action.

When people realize that it is their lack of moral fiber in this country that is the problem, not the gun.
people want to blame anything and everything else for the problem but themselves and look for short term solutions for long term problems that will not work.
I read a Bumper Sticker once that said:
Dear God, why is their so much violence in school?
God replied: " Dear concerned student, because I am not allowed in school".
Every since Madeline Murray O'Hare had prayer taken out of school the violence has risen dramatically, but secular people refuse to accept that reason and fabricate psuedo reasons for themselves in an attempt to justify immorality in every phase of life in this country, justifying all sorts of profanity and immorality all in the name of social tolerance when they themselves are hypocrites for doing so because they preach social tolerance but refuse to accept Christinaity.
If you preach social tolerance than you accept Christinaity, it is all the way or nothing, you don't just pick and choose what is "comfortable" for you.
