Stress incontinence is an involuntary loss of urine that occurs during physical activity, such as coughing, sneezing, laughing, or exercise.

Risk factors for stress incontinence include:
- Being female
- Getting older
- Childbirth
- Smoking
- Obesity
- Chronic coughing (such as chronic bronchitis and asthma)

Aside from doing the immediate damage control of changing your pants and washing up, there are things you can do that can help this from happening again in the future. Strengthening your pelvic floor muscles is important. If you don't know about them already, Kegel exercises can really help accomplish this. These are great for both men and women. To do these you just tighten the muscles of the pelvic floor as if trying to stop urine stream. Do these as often as possible throughout the day. Soon it will become habit.

Don't worry too much about this. It happens to lots of people. If it continues to be a problem for you though you might want to talk with your doctor about it.

Just talk to your docter... Chances are that they will tell you that the muscles around "that area" have weakened. I could not find out whether this is a male or female but if this a female you can get these things called barbells that help. you just put them up there and squeeze. they're very small and won't hurt. Or if you don't want to do that just do kegels (i think i may have spalt that wrong) itwhen you squeeze the muscls that you use when you're "holding it in", but don't push, just do the same thing you do when you gotta go real bad but can't get to a bathroom.

If your at work, make sure you use water to even out the wetness. Wet your pockets and upper level of your pants. This would give the impression that there was a water accident at the drinking fountain. Tell your co workers that you dropped a cup of water on yourself.

Good Luck

Back slowly away from the computer, take baby steps to the bathroom, climb-CAREFULLY --NA AH AH-watch the shower curtain-into the tub, take a shower with your clothes on, now soap up, take off your clothes and dump them in the sink. Clean up, do a load of laundry, and next time dont put off the urge to pee!!You see what can happen!!

If you're at work, excuse yourself and try to go home and change. If you have a trusted friend at work, you could ask them to sneak out and get you a pair of pants at a local store in your size and bring them back....even jeans for the rest of the day, and then sneak into a bathroom to change.
