I might be going there in June and was wondering if there were any casinos in the city or nearby.

The closest casino is in Connecticut, about a hundred miles away. They run buses roundtrip to there every day and it takes about an hour and a half each way. The bus is $25 and they give you a coupon for a free buffet and two coupons each good for a $10 bet.

After years of declaring themselves too righteous to support gambling in Massachusetts they are finally seriously considering letting an Indian Casino open there. That will not be open in time for your June visit.

Not in Boston. They opened a new casino in Lincoln, RI called Twin Rivers a few weeks ago. It is only slot machines. You can get there by taking 93 South to 95 South to Route 146 North.

If you are looking for table games then you'll have to go to Connecticutt to either Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun. You can get there by taking the Mass Pike (I-90) to 395 and follow the signs.
