In London
Butler's Wharf, Shad Thames, Southwark
Westminster Underground Station
King's Cross Station
St. Pancras Station as King's Cross Station
St. Paul's Cathedral (geometric staircase)
Green Lanes, Palmers Green
Australia House, Strand (Gringotts Bank)

while i appreciate the wonders of Harry Potter, there are far more amazing things to see in London...especially considering the fact that Hogwarts is not anywhere near the city :). i would suggest all of the usual haunts (Tower of London, Globe Theatre, etc.). also, there are fantastic river tours if you don't have long to spend. the shopping is phenominal if sightseeing isn't really your deal. however, if you have your heart set on Harry Potter, perhaps you could take a train to scotland - it would only take a couple of hours on the train. that way you could visit some castles or something. the Monty Python castle is in scotland, as well :)
