its springfield, usa. they never actaually stay which state they are in, which is a running gag on the show. the characters give clues to which state, but the clues all contradict one another enough that its more of a joke to confuse the people keeping track. they have said in the upcoming they will reveal it, but i am sure it will be a joke-like springfield resides in a fictional state that they made up.

Springfield?

There was an episode where Homer heads out to the "Happiest Place on Earth" (TIJUANA, MEXICO) within seconds of "Springfield" This bothered me a little.

"Well, anyway, Homer and family live in the town of Springfield. But, according to The Simpsons Archive, there are at least 71 nonfictional Springfields in 36 states around the country. This has left fans scouring the 350-plus episodes for clues to the town's exact location. Considering the enormous number of place names and geographical features referenced, this requires Ph.D.-level research. Many believe the show is set in Oregon, as creator Matt Groening grew up in Portland and many of the characters share names with that city's streets. "

That's the biggest mystery in the world. Like when characters try to announce their last name or people annonce their address on the phone. Like when he's say, "Do you know my full name?" And I say, "Mr. (bleep)." See, it can't be done because sometimes some things are kept secret. And to add, the Las Vegas episode, well, either they drove too long so they cut some time off, or they live in the West Coast.

When you see the movie then you will find out that they don't live anywhere on the map. They make a joke about Springfields location and its impossible to be located anywhere near there.

well.. they are driving distance to everywhere! there's these little jokes in some of the episodes where when they point on the map of where sprinfield is, someone comes by coincidentally to block it with their body or something.

anyway, why are you getting paranoid about a cartoon? that's just strange.

i have to say no. i thought they would get into the postseason, mabye further, but repeating is so hard to do now. everyone is watching you, trying to beat you, knows what your players are capable of. And to win the world series, you really almost have to play above yourselves (white sox pitching last year vs this year)

You see here is the flaw in your thinking. The simpsons are cartoon characters, not real people. So they don't live anywhere.........
