Could anyone tell me something about it? I took part in an English competition. There was a question about Guy Fewkes Day. What do poeple do on this day? When do people celebrate this day?

"Remember, remember,
The fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason
why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot."

Fireworks and bonfires, but the event isn't what it used to be...
The celebrations are often on the nearest weekend, rather than the actual fifth if it is inconveniently midweek. And fewer people have family or street bonfies and parties, as bigger commercial events have tended to take over. In part due to increasing safety and insurance requirements.

I remember hand-held roman candles, helicopters, and jumping jacks... All banned now.

But 400 years is not bad to keep a memorial going, of an attempt to engineer regime change with explosives. (Minority view: it was a government-originated black op, to give it a free hand with its enemies. Some things never change?)
