Are you talking about sales tax on bottled water? Yes, in many places, it's taxable.

I can't believe you're willing to pay that much for water even before the tax.

They don't charge for the water; it's for the water delivery. Indoor plumbing is not an natural occurrence. Still, you always have the option of going down to fetch the water yourself, purify it, and enjoy! Then laugh all the way to the bank with all of money you saved ---- NOT!
