Kinda low for me, but maybe it works for someone that doesn't need a lot of space or RAM. I have 2GB's of RAM and have two HDD's equaling about half a terrabyte. But then again, I'm a pirate.

The memory sounds fine. In fact it is the "real" minimum needed for Windows Vista.

The hard drive size will be good, as long as you don't plan to do a lot with video content, or putting a lot of MP3's on your system.. If you plan on working with video or storing quite a few MP3's on your system. You may want to think of a larger HD.

* get ready, at the end of this year, a 700-1000 GB will come out

* 16-32 GB flash disk are in stores right now

* breakthroughs in computers devices/peripherals make people keep on reahing for their wallet

* some said that right now, Intel/AMD can make 10-50 GHz processors, but the won't, the slow down so people keep on reahing for their wallet

It depends are you offering it to me...? Haha. Well, I doubt that. So really, it would depend on what you wanted to do with that, if for example you wanted to use the machine for general purposes than it sounds excellent. For gaming you may need a slightly higher specification machine!

I'd go for 2 gigs of RAM, and the biggest hdd i could get...especially if you wanna run Vista's Aero stuff.

Go for two sticks, 2GB apiece, and 2 500GB drives (yes, these are out there). Or wait until this is considered low, and buy them cheaper.
