I swallowed a fish and I am a little weirded out by the prospect of a living fish in my tummy...

that's first of all cruel, not to mention nasty. do you have any idea how much bacteria is on them?? the fish will eventually die a painful death from the acid in your stomach. you will probably feel pretty sick for a while and you will probably have diarreah from the all of the bacteria being put into your intestines. like your typical a food borne illness' symptoms.

It was warned that eating live goldfish could actually result in the person swallowing the fish getting anemia because of tapeworms inside the fish.

Haha.. There will be no side affects. It's not live anymore. By now your stomach acid has killed it and probably pretty much digested it. The only side affect I can think of is a guilty mind for swallowing a live creature. :P
