Yes, I went in the late 1980s. The Canadian side is beautiful. We took the boat ride, "Maid of the Mist", but it's hard to see because there is so much spray from the water. They give you rain ponchos to wear. I've heard there is now a tour you can take that goes behind the falls. It's very pretty at night. On the Canadian side they shine different colors on the water..very romantic. Also, the Canadian side was very clean and well maintained when we were there. The American side is the smaller part of the falls. Hope you have a good time!

I take it you mean the Canadian side? It's a pretty cool town, lots of funky cool shops, etc....I stayed at the new casino, had a great view of the Falls at night. During the day we drove west of the Falls and followed the river and stopped at lookout points, all the way to a town called Niagra on the Lake? Or something close to that, sorry I don't have any literature on it, I was with my sister who had been there before and she showed us this. Gorgeous river though with raging waters, but you have to travel outside of the city where Niagra Falls are. Hope this helps. Take some extra money, things seem to be a little pricey up there.

yes, ive been to the canadian side and its gorgeous, esp. at night...i would go on the maid of the mist; its a boat that takes you around the falls and you get soaked when you get close to the falls
theres a butterfly exhibit, a bird exhibit, chocolate exhibit (free samples!) coke place, ...something also like raging river or something where you can walk up and down along the fastflowing rivers (but maid of the mist was funner)
theres a lot of downtown things to do as well, and eating at the sky tower is VERY nice, but very pricey (every individual must pay at least $45 otherwise they wont let you eat there) its a revolving restaurant with a view of the falls
or theres Rainforest cafe i guess
i thought it was pretty easy to do almost everything there, but the best part was the most priceless thing: just watching the falls

I have been there several times. Go to the Canadian side. All the good stuff is over there. Wax museums good food the casinos and you can view the falls better from over there. Once you get to Canada just find a place to park. you won't need your car anymore because everything is right there. It is like a carnival going on all the time.

You want to stay and visit mostly the Canadian side. The view is better. The hotels with rooms with a view of the falls are not that expensive.

The American side you get to see a little of the falls and a lot of rapids. The Canadian side you get to see ALL of the falls and even walk behind it.

I took my parents by there on our way to Quebec. I can't say it was an earth shattering experience. Lots of water. The Canadian side was nicer from what I remember. Very 'touristy' on both sides. Not my choice for a pleasant vacation.

We enjoyed Quebec more. Now that is a place worth visiting!

Yes, I've been and it was beautiful. Go to the visitor center, and get their map, it will show you where all the good spots are. I think the Canadian side is much better.

Pretty much everything there is good to see. Make sure you go to the Canadian side of Niagara falls. It is so much better than the US New York side.

Canadian or US side?
Canadian side check out the falls and walk Clifton Hill, lots of museums. Marineland is great for the kids.
