the reason it costs so much is because we have to go out of country to buy it.and the people we buy it from hate us and charge us alot of money per barrel and then it gets taxed and the sold by the oil companies where they have to recover money lost in the purchase. our supply of oil will end someday.as it gets lower the price will go up.so dont be superised if it reaches $5 or even $7 a gallon.consider investing in a flex fuel car,a hybrid or invest in funding for an electric car....we'll need them all...

My sister lives in LA - the exact same gas costs her $3.19!
The oil companies are price gouging at an industrial level, and loving every minute of it. BP and Shell, the giant oil companies, are this week both expected to announce record profits of around $4.5 billion (£2.5 billion) each for the three months to September.
The figure equates to a staggering profit of about $50 million per day.

The cheapest gas in my neighborhood is $3.15 a gallon at Costco. I'm in Temecula California. If I get it by my work in San Diego, it costs $3.27 a gallon. I'd be happy to pay $2.78!!!

I live in Michigan too. I think that you should stop complaining because it is going to do you no good. You are just wasting your time.
