So I will be applying for graduate school for Fall of 2008, and of course to improve my chances of admission, I'm going to send in a multitude of appications. Is there a common application like for Undergraduate or a program like the LSAC for applicants to law school or do I just have to ask my recommendations to write a million letters?

In general we don't mind sending out multiple letters. But multiple means about 3. It is not a question of it being a lot of work more that we want to know that you have seriously looked at different schools' programs and have come to a pretty clear idea about where you would like to study.

When I applied to graduate schools a few years ago, each school had their own forms. My professors who wrote letters just wrote one letter and attached copies of it to the forms for each school -- so it isn't really that much extra work for them.
