All right, to all you lefties who are all riled up, settle down. IT WAS A JOKE, get over yourselves you dumba** es. For Christs sake, you honestly think a democrat is going to lead America to the promise land? Wake up, politicians are all the same. If you don't agree with that, you need to watch the South Park episode "Douche and Turd", then maybe you'll understand!

Yeah, McCain is a real human being, a moderate in his career in the senate and understands that Iraq requires greater commitment if we want anything resembling success, and he isn't an arrogant spin-obsessed prick like very other would-be Next President of the United States.
He's also old. He was too old to capture the nomination in 2000, and time hasn't run backwards for him. He's hated by the republican base for not being far right enough on everything /but/ the Iraq War, for which he is hated by anyone to the left of Joe McCarthy. He couldn't possibly win the nomination, and even if he did, he couldn't beat Edwards, let alone Hillary or Obama.
All of which is indicative of the failure of our political system.

I don't think it was funny at all. In fact, I remember thinking when I saw the tape last night that McCain is losing it. He keeps shooting himself in the foot time after time. Like that "walk" through the Baghdad market area with 100 soldiers and Black Hawk's keeping watch overhead. How embarrassing for him. He continues to sink in the polls, he doesn't have a shot in Hades at the Presidency, and though I like the man personally, I'm pretty relieved about that.

A senior level politician, a US Senator sings about nuking another country and this is funny? We aren't talking about some school kid, here. He's a presidential candidate too.
There are jokes that are fine for these situations but this was one really in bad taste.

Yes, I like humor, and I hate people who want to censor humor. And I'm glad John McCain made a joke, and I'm glad he's defending his joke. People who get all riled up over jokes DO need to get a life.
All that said, John McCain is nuts and I don't ever want to see him in charge of anything...

McCain used to be one of Bush's primary opponents now he's done a complete 180. They accused Kerry of flip- flopping when GWB mis-represented his voting record but refuse to recognize it in their own ranks.
as to your question, yup that was funny but after 6 years of Bozo, America doesn't need another clown.

I like McCain the best out of all the potential candidates. I'm usually more of a democrat but he's down to earth and knows how to get things done. our country would be in excellent hands with him in charge for sure.

I'm not a Republican but he was funny. I've always kind of liked McCain and this is just making me like him more. He has balls and isn't afraid to stand up to the media houndogs.

Your a democrat? What a coincidence. So is he. A democrat in elephants clothing . His policies are way left of what I call Conservative. No wonder you hope he wins.

Apparently it doesn't take balls, look at Bush.
"A year ago, my approval rating was in the 30s, my nominee for the Supreme Court had just withdrawn, and my vice president had shot someone....Ah, those were the good ol' days."
Ha, ha. Please, go on:
"I have to admit, we really blew the way we let those attorneys go. You know you've botched it when people sympathize with lawyers."
