My father sadly has an earing and is in his 50s...It looks ridiculous but I know for a fact he doesn't do it to try to look younger. He's had it since he was very young and he's the type of guy who never changes anything so he keeps it...also I have a very Italian family and from what I've seen most men in Italian families have an ear piercing (and a gold pinky ring hah) .

Dude, is he married?!?! if so, you're placing your self up for a concern which you would be apologetic approximately getting in contact in. not basically will you be the taboo "different female," (YUCK) yet you will additionally be a homewrecker. Is that what you pick? there isn't any assure that he will flow away his spouse for you the two. What might your loved ones think of in case you obtain in contact with a married guy? i'm your age, and enable's settle for it, we are youthful and dumb. existence is confusing adequate, why upload stress to it? Oh God female, do not try this. If he's not married (you're making it sound like he's) ask him out. in any different case, there is a lot of alternative adult males available, you do not may be the only to diminish your self to break a marraige.

I dunno about younger but they certainly are showing their lack of awareness (maybe stuck in the 80s?).

I can only think that a man that age is having a midlife crisis or showing a sign of something (like homosexuality) by sporting an earring.

no way, you're right: they're just trying to look younger! ...same with 30+ men coloring or highlighting their hair!

Edit:
listen, OLD GUY, don't give everyone thumbs down when they tell you the TRUTH , when it happens to be what you don't want to HEAR. You maybe over 40, but you sure don't seem to act like a man of that age!

It's an unsuccessful attempt for them to look younger.

I thought guys with earrings at that age are trying to show that they are homosexuals.

They're trying to be hip and are scared of growing old. They also could be trying to nab the younger girls, too. I never found the old men attractive when I was young, and they're even more unattractive to me now. Ha ha ha!

It depends, you have to have to whole package if you've got an earring, so be in a motorcycle gang or something. I had a teacher once with an earring and he looked ridiculous. So you have to have the image to go with it, not just the earring.
