You must be pretty or something, congrats.
Now be ready for some disappointment, if you like conversation more than shopping you're in for trouble because most pretty girls I've run across haven't developed very much in the way of a brain, they never needed to, everything gets handed to them on a silver platter, even the seemingly undeserved resentment of other females...
Most of the guys who approach you based on your appearance, (and unless they already know you, that's about all they can go on,) won't expect you to say any thing worth hearing, so they won't usually be listening very hard...
Another problem is a lot of guys don't like a girl to be smarter than them, (I would love it, but alas, it very rarely happens,) especially a pretty one...Good luck not losing faith in men and becoming a sociopath or lesbian,(or a sociopathic lesbian,) seems to happen a lot to the best females, and its a shame because there are good men out there....Sometimes we're just hard to find.

You are intimidating to him. When a guy finds a female he is attractive to, his natural instinct is to go out, kill something, bring it back, smiling that toothy grin, and showing it to you. He is by nature a hunter gatherer. Crazy, you may think, but if he is not up to par on his abilities as a:
Provider
He will have trouble talking to you.
Do not consider him unless he has a JOB, a CAR, and someone that he answers to like a DAD or a father figure. If he is not held accountable by someone, then he will lead you in circles.
All of that to say this, He may not think he is ready to be your man. His body may be saying YES, NOW, I AM READY, but his conscience is saying, 'shut up and listen boy, you are not ready for this girl, grow up and get your ducks in order first'. So, it is not you, it is him.

How much do you talk? Do you give him a chance to reply? Some guys are naturally shy, and won't interrupt if you're talking. Ask your question or make a statement or whatever, and then wait a minute to give him a chance to say something.

Are you even positive that he likes you? If he, does it might be tht he is nervous or shy to talk to you. Some guys are like that but if he really likes you he will get the hint and talk to you also. But you got to be sure that he likes you.

He's probably nervous as all get out, and fearful of saying something that you might not like. Bear that in mind, and in time he will probably thaw when he understands better that you are not about to bite his head off.

Simple answer. Never, never have a friend or lover that you cannot spend hours talking to about a great variety of subjects.

Because he's nervous! He's afraid that if he messes up you won't like him! So be patient and nice.
