4. Find the sum and express in simplest form.

5. Solve the equation

1) The answer is C. x2 + 6x + 9 = (x + 3) (x + 3)

2) 2x2 - 32 = 2 (x2 - 16) = 2 (x + 4) (x - 4)

3. 3x2 - x - 4 = (3x - 4) (x + 1)

4. x2 / (x2 - 25) + (7x + 10) / (x2 - 25) = x2 + 7x + 10 / x2 - 25
(x + 2) ( x + 5) / (x - 5) (x + 5) = (x + 2) / (x - 5)

5. 1/x = x/12 or 12 = x2 and x = sqrt.12

It's useful. You can do 6 x two that means 6 rows of 2 cans, two x 6 that means two rows of 6 cans, one million x 12 that means one row of 12 cans, 12 x one million that means twelve rows of one million can, four x three that means 4 rows of three cans and three x four that means three rows of four cans.

5. x=the square root of 12
you get there by multiplying both sides by 12 getting 12/x=x then multiply both sides by x to get xsquared =12 so therefore x=square root of 12
