Sweeitie boys name their "privates" everything. No word is safe. Peter is a great name. Boys tease each other all the time anyway. I grew up with all guys and I find that they make any name sexual or something along those lines at one point or another. He will be fine as long as he grows up knowing what everyone else thinks of him doesn't matter.

Yes he will get teased. Not to be mean but it's probably a bunch of old people saying he wont get teased. Kids get teased for everything now. Names is a big one. My little cousin who is in school now was called peter rabbit, peter peter booger eater, peter piper, and some other names. Not saying your son will be teased because my cousin did. Even if he didn't get teased about his name kids might find something else. I don't think peter is a bad name but it is a little old fashioned.

As far as I see it, there's no reason why the child should be teased so much for the name Peter. It is a wonderful name and has an insightful meaning to it. It gives the impression of being direct and self-confident. This is my view on the name. If you love it, I suggest you go on with it.

I really don't think you have much to worry about. There may be a few if any along the way who may be cruel enough to make a small comment but it will probably be in some grade school by some immature kid. Teach Peter what his name means and he will not have any problems. He will just have to undestand there are some strange and cruel people in the world that have to be ignored.

I don't think so. My uncle's name is Peter Christian and he didn't get made fun of. He actually had plenty of friends as a kid. He did probably get made fun of because that is apart of life. He has a son named Peter Christian who we call PC2 for Peter Christian 2nd. He has tons of friends. They're always at the house.

Kids get teased for everything, I got teased for the color of my skin, b/c I was the darkest kid in my school. But I also got teased for having curly hair, a crooked foot, and now I get teased about my last name. I also got teased about my first name, they called me hairy cari when I was in kidergaren. really regardless of his name he's going to be teased about something. It's how you reassure him that makes the difference. Let him know that the other kids are wrong and that he should tell the teacher and then let them handle it.
