I got a call from the hr manager earlier this week from an interview that i went on two weeks ago. She said that she wanted to inform me that the process was taking longer than expected, and that she was leaving and taking two weeks off 'cause she is getting married this weekend, and that she wanted to call and inform me of this because she did not want to leave me hanging. She stated that she would get in contact with me when she returned on the first of May.

I want to take all of this in a good way, but I am not exactly sure how to feel. I know that none of my reference have been checked as of yet, but my current employer did not check my references either. So i just wanted to know how would you all take this phone call?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Things look very, very good for you.

No way would she have taken the time to call you unless they are planning on taking you to the next level.

Unless she is the most underworked HR Manager in corporate history.

Congrats and let us know what happens when she gets back.

Usually, HR manager dont call applicants who are not qualified nor they want to fill the position they needed. She called you right? So it means that she is interested in you. Just wait but while waiting dont waste your time sitting down. Apply jobs in other companies. Receiving a call from HR manager is almost 99% sure you will be hired and 1% possibly not based on my experience. Hoping for your best. Good luck.

It's certainly not a bad sign. Hard to tell if it's a good sign, or if they're just really polite and trying to let everyone know who is being considered.

Good luck.
