When you see someone is running for President, so you know at least 3 things that that person is for, or against? Or do you just pick them on looks, what someone tells you, or something else?

This is just a survey!

I do...thanks in part to www.vote-smart.org

This site gives information on federal, state and local candidates, including how they voted on issues put before them.

I make sure I can follow almost every important issue about a candidate I vote for because you never know what issues will be important after they are elected.

Thank God in that vein that in 2000 no one was paying attention to terrorism, and we elected a president who came up with a forceful response, and not one who probably would still be trying to serve a subpoena on Osama Bin Laden after the second and third terrorist attack.

I ALWAYS want to know what and how the candidate(s) I am going to support stand for. I don't take my politics or elections lightly and do my research. So in answer to your question, no I don't choose them on looks or on what someone tells me. I can think for myself.

I better know all of the issues or I wouldn't desurve to vote! Sadly it seems like some people vote for who they'd like to go have a beer with. Not what the issues are.

To tell you the truth- I saw George W Bush on Oprah-and I thought -what a down to earth guy-Im voting for him...

Then I saw Barack on Oprah and I thought: "what great morals he has & he actually stands for his personal beliefs..and I will vote for him..So I base my votes on Whoever I can get to know the best on OPRAH!

I'm just being honest.

I do.

I think it very irresponsible to vote for someone without a good idea of their political viewpoints.
