When your water breaks is it a gush or can it just trinkle out. I mean I will be wet down there and then in 2 mins I am wet again. Not to were my pants are wet but enough to have to wipe. Sorry its kinda gross. Could it also may be my mucus plug? There is no blood it just has a tint of yellow. I have been drinking tons of water lately and my urine is still very yellow. Sorry about all the ?'s this is my first time. Please help!!!

When a woman's water breaks it can happen in different ways. For me, it was a fairly large trickle but I was able to get to the hospital before I was completely soaked. The mucous plug can be the same way. It can be a little at a time or all of it can come at once. But I will have to say, call your doctor right now, and get to the hospital because my water broke 37 weeks to the day. If you aren't sure, you have to go to the hospital and they will check for you. It is important to get to the hospital f your water breaks, to prevent infections.

You water can break either way...some leak, some seem to pop. I don't remember my mucus plug being that wet and runny. I would contact the doctor and let them decide what it is and what you should do.

B/c if it is your water, they don't like the baby to be in longer than 24 hours. Good luck & congrats.

Call the doc hun & talk to them.

Hi. I never felt when my water broke. Your mucous plug is supposed to be darker than the normal discharge. When's your next OB appt? Maybe you can call them and explain what's going on and they can give you some advice. Since you're so far along, they may just move your appointment up and see you immediately. The secretaries at doctor offices do know a lot.

Your fluids will vary with your hormones. If it continues to be just a little bit, then wait until your next dr appt (shouldn't be very long if you're 37 weeks). The doctor should be able to tell if your water is leaking or not.

Do be sure and mention it because it can be dangerous for the baby if it has broken without labor starting.

when i went in to labour my mucus plug went first then my waters and it wasn't a trickle it was a big gush in fact i was stood there with a towel between my legs! but everyone is different. Having a baby isn't as painful as i thought and you just forget the pain when your holding your baby. Good luck!

Please call your doc right away and ask for an ultrasound to check and see if your amniotic fluid is leaking out.

I was feeling what you are describing at 35 weeks, and I called the advice nurse several times, and they kept telling me it was just normal. But then I started having horrible back pains, so I had my husband drive me to the hospital. They did an ultrasound and OOOOOOooooops! All my amniotic fluid had leaked out!

They admitted me right away, and hooked me up to an I.V. and I went into labor that night, and had my baby the following night.

So, if you think that might be it, please insist on having them check!

I had exactly what you are describing. Just little trickles and feeling wet down there all the time.

I know that it can either trickle out or come in a gush. Other than that can't help you much I am 35 weeks today with my first. Good Luck and Congrats.

if you are really worried you should get checked out it may be your waters but i think it may be a very runny discharge with your body preparing for labour
