Any one can find them selves in love with another person even though you have never met them.
Look at all the Beatles fans, how many of them actually got to meet their idols, yet they where all in love with one or other in the band,

It must have been really nice. Personally I dont think it is bad to talk to people online, provided that you handle it.. I love my guy, but I have chatted with people.. But you must not let yourself get carried away... It could be just enthousiasm about this new unknown sweet guy.. Don't break up for a guy you do not even know, but you may have fallen in love with "the idea" of this guy. It has happened to me about 6 years ago, and after a while I just realized that we were definately not made for each other. But during the first 2 months that we were just speaking on the phone, I felt like being TOTALLY in love with him...
As it proved I was not..

You're mixing issues here. I have a great grandparent who died just before I was born. I've heard so much about him though that I love the man without ever having met him.
I'm not going to minimize the feelings you have for the person you used to talk with. However, the greater picture here is that you DO have a boyfriend. Your devotion to your online friend is going to cause problems with your in person relationship, if it hasn't already. Don't fawk up what you have for what may amount to only a dream.

how can you "love" someone you met just a couple of days ago, and only through the Internet? that is weird, you probably have deep issues that you need to work on, and I don't mean this in a offensive way, I'm just keeping it real, what you are feeling right now is not normal, and the fact that you are crying non stop for someone you don't know and which whom you have no real relation is just a warning sign that something is not right in your current relationship and in your life, try therapy, maybe that would help. Again I'm not trying to be mean, is just not normal for you to have such intense feeling for someone you just chatted a couple of times.

No.
Thats not real love.
You have fallen in love with the 'idea' of who this person is.
Without body language, touch, hearing their voice (people sound different on the phone), smelling them.....
Rarely are people the same in real life as they are online.. hell even i'm not.. even to friends..
it is just words on a screen.. This guy you like might be a totally different person to what you think... you haven't seen his bad sides..
It's not love. It's infatuation..

It's not possible to love someone you haven't met.The 'sweet guy' could be spinning you a load of bull & you have no way of knowing without eye to eye contact. And you certainly can't fall in love in a couple of days!! it takes time to develop real feelings of love for someone.I think you have other problems somewhere & you're using what amounts to a new crush to bring your feelings to a head.Think of your boyfriends feelings in all of this & grow up & get on with your life!!

Sure you can. It may only ever be in memories that you are able to visit him, but at least you have that, it's better than not having that in your repertoire, to think quietly to yourself, and smile and feel love when ever you need it.

it is very possible
but it can be lost just as easy
i have just gotten rid of my online love as she went weird on me
i think not seeing each other means the connection you would have is not there and truly knowing them is hard to do
but it is possible as every thing is possible

You're in love with a fantasy - it's just an escape from your reality. It's not real.
Sorry. :(
