Miller used a Thompson submachine gun as his primary weapon. If your refering to the scene at the end of the movie as Miller is propped up against the bridge, fatally wounded and the tank rolls toward him, the weapon he is feebly wielding is a Colt .45 automatic. However the tank does not explode as a result of his firing, the P-51 Tankbusters flying over head destroyed the tank. Earlier in the battle though, he does shove the barrel through the vison port of a tank and fires into a tank so the hatch can be opened and grenades poured in.
Also, correction to a previous post. Ed Burns who played Pvt Riven uses the BAR as Vin Diesel was killed earlier and he used a M1 Garand.
