HAVE POSITIVE THINGS AROUND YOU TO LEAN ON...FOR EXAMPLE, FAMILY, CHURCH, SPORTS, FRIENDS, HOBBIES, ETC.
ALSO, I WOULD ACTUALLY HAVE PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE BAD DECISIONS IN THEIR TALK TO TODAYS YOUTH AND TELL THEM THE CONSEQUENCES OF USING BAD JUDGEMENT.

The answer is simple, but it is hard to put into practice today, because of immorality, promiscuousness, etc. If you provide the proper upbringing and proper discipline to a kid at an early age, negative influences from peers, movies, and tv will have little, if any effects on them. I speak from personal experience. I grew up the the early to mid 1950's, and my parents brought me up right. Drilling into me the difference between what is right, and what is wrong, and what the possible consequences are. There was plenty of violence from westerns on tv , and there were even people doing drugs, but these had no effect on me, because I was raised right. This is the soution, but like I said, in todays's world, this type of parental care and discipline is non existent.It is easier to do nothing and let kids run amok in the streets, and do what they please.

It's all in how you raise your child.. We have to sit down and have dinner with our children.. Talk with them.. Ask them how their day went.. By doing this, no outside influences can affect them because they have a dialog with their parents..
