specifically the math in those circumstances hardly matters.
What these exercises do is to provide you with a foundation for understanding the physics of the world we live in.
Having the capactiy and experience to begin to solve basic real questions will give you more capacity to learn and imagine, and apparently you will be head and shoulders above your peers -- most who gave silly, uncomprehending answers to your question.
