My bathroom is my fun room..I have big yellow flowers... and shower curtains..with little blue sharks on it.. It always makes me smile in the morning..Do you have a fun room? If so, what makes it fun?

Hey Valkyrie! Your bathroom does sound fun!! I can see it in my mind's eye and makes me smile!! It's kinda like my bathroom. My shower curtain has large photos of friendly dolphins on it. Some are swimming and some are jumping out of the water into a bright beautiful sky. It often makes me smile!
I also like all the people who answered saying they make their bedrooms their fun room... I can definitely relate! I have various essential oils like rose, lavender, and patchoili, and various things for massage... and a beautiful big bed and fireplace... the windows look out across a lake and at night you can see the stars and moon when laying in the bed.... well, you get the picture!!
The kitchen too can be lots of fun when cooking up creative stuff for others. Love to make big stir-fries in a wok with colorful veggies cut into fun and cute shapes. All my fresh organic spices and herbs are in large glass jars on a wooden shelves. Looks so fun and smells so good! I have a big jar of dried lavender flowers, and sometimes I just sprinkle them all around the kitchen while I'm cooking!
Well, all those rooms are lots of fun, but I thought about this question some more and realized that my fun room is in my mind! I go to a special place in my mind whenever I feel like having a good time! This works in several ways:
My fun room is like that big old attic room in your grandmother's house where you used to go as a child and play with all the stuff there. Like dressing up her old gowns and hats, or digging through a big old trunk for treasures... I put memories and ideas in my fun room and then take them out later, either to remember and enjoy, or to put into action and have fun!
Like, as the day goes by, I collect moments that are funny, fun, zany, and make me smile and laugh. When something happens like that, I just think to myself, I'm going to remember that... and I store it away in my fun room filled with fun memories. Then, later in the day, or on some other rainy day, I pull out some of those memories and relive them in my mind. Or I might call a friend and tell them what I'm remembering and then we can both laugh!
Just this morning, I went outside to sit in the porch swing down overlooking the lake and drink my tea. My kitty cat was wandering around innocently and she suddenly came upon a big turtle lumbering along the shoreline. She shot up in the air and backwards at the same time!!!! She didn't know what to make of that big old turtle! She looked so funny and surprised! I've never seen a cat jump up and backwards like that! Her tail was straight up in the air and all her fur stuck outwards, like a crazy thing!!
That was so funy, so I put it into my mind's fun room for enjoying later and telling friends...
Another thing I do with my fun room is go in there and think up all the zany things I can to have a good time and get others to laugh and have fun with me. Like one day I was having lunch with a friend and we were having strawberry shortcake for dessert. We were dressed nicely that day because we were going together to a wedding that afternoon. But that didn't keep me from getting silly!! While he was looking away for a moment, I put a little strawberry slice on my nose. When he looked back, I started talking very seriously about something, as if everything was normal. He started laughing so hard he nearly fell out of his chair!
Finally he stopped laughing so hard and was able to stick a strawberry slice on his nose too, and we both fell out of our chair laughing. I mean, it makes you look so silly, like a clown whose nose got a little mashed or something. The waitress came over to see what was wrong, and she started laughing so hard she nearly dropped her coffee pot! So then I took some whipped cream and put a little on each of my eyebrows... and my friend did the same... We looked mad! The people in the restaurant started looking at us and laughing. We started talking in serious voices about the news, as if we were just perfectly normal and very serious people. People were dying laughing. The more serious we looked, the more people laughed.... It was a crazy time.... (Okay, you had to be there!!!) We finally got cleaned up and went to the wedding, but all day long, when we caught each other's eye, we started laughing again.
Well, that's just a few things from my fun room in my mind......

I will remember your bathroom with the yellow flowers and the blue sharks, and that image will be in my fun room for a while too!

my bathroom is my fun room also. I have a white wall and a lot of a ballerina is painted on the wall, also I have a shower curtain with ballet shoes, and a lot of pink stuff, I never go 2 sleep with out cleaning my bathroom bcz I love walking up in the morning to a clean bathroom that also makes me really happy and have energy to start my day

I have a game room which I consider fun. We got the TV, nice recliners, PS3, Xbox 360, foosball, and a poker table in there. I'm planning on decorating in old movie theme...like black & white posters of old school movies!

yep, my bedroom........i have all the stuff from my college years in their, my partner and I have our own master bedroom and bath..........i have a bedroom because i need a place to go and think, sometimes we have great sex in there........music is loud and the room is filled with smoke.......i call it my museum of my life.......huge deadhead who followed for the last 3 years before jerry died..........i travel to islands with my partner, well tropical places, so lots of stuff from travel

i love my room it is sooo cute it is teal and pink. it is bright and makes me smile when my room is messy it changes the look so much!:)

my bedroom. it has massage oils, assortment of toys, and mirrors. ladies love my fun room.
