Probably the same as it is now adjusted for inflation. Over the last 30 years the has been almost no change in the inflation adjusted hourly wage and there is no reason to think there will be in the next 23. The poverty level which makes people eligible for government assistance can not rise relative to what full time workers earn without causing a major political uproar. The current poverty level for a single person is about $10,000 a year or $5 per hour. It depend on household size and for 10 people is $40,000 per year.

It will be worse as much as the government grows. As government grows in size and places more regulations and taxes on business, poverty gets worse due to less good jobs available. The minimum wage increase now before Congress is a great way to increase poverty as it increases costs for business; in fact, some will shut down and goodbye jobs.

I was on welfare and in poverty but by getting a good job was able to learn skills to serve others better and now make a high income. Too bad for the poor govt doesn't understand this concept.
