I think we will have to give up our hope of an afterlife, divine retribution, and karmic justice.
We will have to think of ourselves as just another animal, not too special, and very detrimental to the environment and the other animals we share space with.
Instead of thinking of ourselves as a great accomplishment of an all powerful God, we are just organisms.
We are way too conceited for that...

Condescending or not - you have a top to ask. i desire it does not get deleted - what a waste. i don't incredibly like the international "dogma". I could say it does get somewhat tiring, basically the comparable as "close minded", "ideas washed", and "invisible sky-pixie" get tiresome. And the comparable as stupid evolution questions get tiresome to you i'm useful. i like technological understanding. I not basically study my 6th grade technological understanding text textile, yet additionally the grade 7, 8, 9, 10.... all the way as much as right this moment's techniques. i'm not stupid, and that i take in all that i'm taught and all that pursuits me. i don't think of it makes me an fool for not accepting evolution in that is entirety because of the fact I ensue to settle for that some thing can not come from not something - or no less than that the percentages are astronomical. i've got constantly been a rebellion, and that i've got *by no potential* taken something at face fee basically because of the fact a instructor, professor, preacher or anybody else advocates it. you're unfastened to have self belief what you pick. i'm unfastened to have self belief what i pick. I incredibly have had own studies that defy earthly good judgment - I incredibly have witnessed issues that defy earthly good judgment.... consistent with probability over and above technological understanding, there is yet another plane or planes yet to be found. If human beings call them as assorted ideals, that is effective. I ensue to call them "God". and that i thoroughly savor questioning Him, besides as right this moment's scientific theories. :D

Science would have to become an emotionally satisfying substitute for the sense of the divine. Not going to happen, 'cause science is a tool for gaining knowledge, not a structure on which people can hang their beliefs and hopes.

there is absolutely nothing that could get people to relinquish GOD, those with religious beliefs do believe in science. have you ever heard scientists disagree about the way things happened. all scientists have different opinions about the big bang theory, why dinosaurs became extinct, darwin's theory of evolution ect. i hope eventually scientists will prove GOD in their theories- religion is a specific way of worshipping or believing and you don't have to be religious to believe in GOD.

Why does anything have to "HAPPEN". If you are factual and only want to utilize what can be proven, then you go with that.
If you are faith based than you are.
These concrete terms for life are unrealistic - not many things are sooo completely black and white....
