Then I would say that the spanker isn't doing a good job of making you feel it mentally, even if he's making you feel it physically well enough. For a spanking, or any punishment, to really improve your behavior, it has to be more than simply a painful deterrent. There must be an emotional connection that makes the spanking unpleasant for you. You have to realize that it's happening out of disappointment on the spanker's part. Otherwise, there is no way for your mind to differentiate it from a spanking that you get for play.
I spank several young ladies for both pleasure and discipline. While the disciplinary spankings are a bit harder, it's the scolding and lecturing that really makes them effective. If I simply spanked them, without that emotional connection, then the lessons wouldn't be learned.

It sounds like You need more than a spanking. You need to be taught to behave. Some cuffs would be a good start both on the bed and in a frame so You would be standing up. Bondage is always an excellent means to get your attention.
Since a hand spanking is not working, then a cat o' nine tails would help. And of course, a narrow leather belt, to reach those certain places. The area to be spanked has to change from the cheeks to other, more sensitive parts of Your body. Putting You spread-eagle, arms and legs, will allow access to those areas.
There's more ways, including clamps, hot wax, and other toys that can have wonderful results.

Neither a "good" spanking nor a "bad" spanking will MAKE a person behave. They can motivate a person to behave.
What you need is a good life-changing "religious" experience of the best sort.
