The first one. Maybe because the first one is usually the best. I hadn't read the books though.

I would have to agree with one of ur other answers... The first Harry Potter movie was the best.. It was the only one which did stay true to the book... The others were good as well but they left out so many good parts which I think would have made the movies that much more better..

The first one is the most magical. From the second one on they started getting really dark. My favourite one has to be Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban though

The Prisoner of Azkaban. I loved that book the best too. It's a turning point in the series, Harry finds a real relative in Sirius and a new ally in Professor Lupin. The Order of the Phoenix is also a turning point in that the wizard world realizes the evil one is back and the war starts.

Personally, I love all of them, even if I do think the books are far better.... I'm counting down to both the release of the last book and the next movie..... I'm so excited and I'm not a child....
You dont have to be a child to enjoy Harry Potter, since its technically not a childs story anymore

Prisoner of Azkaban because it was the best combination of faithfulness to the books, good acting, and translating well onto the screen.
My favorite of the books is Order of the Phoenix, which means I'm having some mixed feelings about the movie coming out this summer ... for a movie to do justice to that book is a tall order!

Goblet of Fire - because the movies are getting older as it goes along. There are also less scenes that have been put in the movie to make it somewhat humorous for the kids watching (i.e. in Prisoner of Azkaban when the students were fighting the boggart: totally ruined that movie for me, it was so stupid, JK Rowling wrote that scene so much better).

I don't have a favourite harry potter film but i can tell you which is the one i hate the most!
goblet of fire. I hate the film version because it is complete and utter crap compared to the book as they missed out half the story and i absolutely hate it when film makers ruin one of my favourite books...just like they did with Eragon. I went to the cinema to see that and I came out thinking what a waste of money it had been. i came out of the cinema after watching goblet of fire thinking the same thing.
p.s. i would just like to apologise for my little rant but when a good book is ruined by it's film adaptation, it really, REALLY annoys me.

The first one was best. Because the second one was the worst, and the third one has issues. It's not the real Dumbledore, the actors are an awkward age, and the CGI scenes of the castle and grounds are totally different than they were originally. A little consistency, that's all I ask.

I lov Prisoner of Azkaban because that's my favourite book and Alfonso Cuaron did a really great job on it. But I also loved Goblet of Fire because it brought the book to screen very well. Next one should also be very good.

My fave out of all the Harry Potter movies is, "The Goblet Of Fire". It full of action, wizardry, comedy, romance, & thrilling! It kept me laughing & at the edge of my seat! I just wish that Ron(Rupert Grant - the red head) would finally ask Hermoine (Emma Watson - only the greatest witch) out!
