I say about a $1000 us and no you shouldnt need any changes , let me know if you do purchase and what it does cost because I thought about doing the same thing seems like all the cool cars are over seas.

You toughest hurdle will be emission controls. Get the particulars of what method is used in France then check with the Federal and State Government to see if it will comply. The next possible problem is the shock absorbing bumpers. There are several companies that specialize in bring cars to spec. It's not to expensive if you don't have to switch from Right Hand Drive.
