Happiness never lasts but sorrow is always around ...
Whenever happiness comes its chased off by saddness ...
here is an expample!!
I had my heart broken and smashed by a dumb@$$ and I cried for 3 weeks non stop...
on the day I finally stopped and realized that I have to move on I woke up and smiled in the mirror five minutes later my phone rang ..
my friend had died of cancer a few hours before ... I cried again so much!!
a month later I met the man I married ...
2 weeks after he proposed my grandmother got sent to the hospital ...
3 months after we got married she passed away of CANCER!!
See Happiness never lasts!!!
Happiness is a cruel joke on humanity!!

Happy.
It's appropriate to be sad sometimes, but you can't accomplish nearly as much when you're sad.
The more time you can spend happy the richer your life will be.

Neither. Happiness can generally only sustained for shorter periods of time. Sadness can become pervasive.
I vote for something between the two.

Happiness can be taken from you even though it is a state of mind. Somethings just overwhelm you. But sadness never can be, mostly because no one ever wants to. We, human beings, treasure our sadness. It is the one thing we are all garanteed.

Either.
You can be happy the that some deadly catastrophe is inflicted on your enemy.
You can be sad that the world leaves you behind while you collect alms in a tin cup.

Happy, I can't stand to be sad. I can be complacent, and it is enough. Sadness is a state I can't live in, it is too close to sorrow.
