My cycles before I got on the pill were regular so I'm guessing I would be ovulating around day 14. I'm coming off the pill May 5 so I'm assuming I will start my period 3-4 days after that.

some women actually experience increased fertilit after coming off the pill. while others need months to get tehri cycles back to normal. your cycle while on the pill is no reflection of what your cycle will be while not on the pill. you can start trying right away, but don't be surprised if your cycles are not 28 days. the cycle you experience on the pill is artificial and induced by the hormones in the pill.

It has taken me 15 months to almost get back to normal. I was on the pill for 14 years. Now desperately TTC. I was advised to allow 1 good period before trying too. Good luck.

Depending on how long you have been on the pill ttc may be harder. If its less than 5 years give yourself 6 months. 10 years give yourself 12-16 months.

Doctors usually say you should let yourself have one normal period at least once you come off the pill... at least then you can be sure of your dates (the period you have when you come off it will be your normal withdrawal bleed not a result of ovulation).
mine took yonks to get back to normal after i came off the pill.
Be prepared for it to take ages to concieve... :)

About 25% of couples get pg in the first month. 60% get pg within 6 months, 75% get pg within 9 months, and 80% get pg by one year. 90% get pg by 18months. The average each month is you have about a 20% chance in any given cycle to get pg.
