Skip all of the lovey-dovey ideas and take matters into your own hands. If he's a standard missionary guy on top, lay him down and jump on top and 69 him. Tell him what you want him to do. Try something you've never tried before, like possibly anal (don't knock it until you've experienced it).
He may just think your happy with humdrum sex if you don't ask for more. Take charge and introduce some new moves and spice it up. Rock his world and he will return the favor.

Maybe you meant more romantic in love making... Try talking sweet to him on the phone before he gets home from work. Fix him a bubble bath. Rub him down telling him how much you love him and have the bedroom setup with candles and soft music. You cant just expect the intimacy or romanticness to just fall into place, you need to set the scene if hes going to get the picture that things are going to be different. Definitly talk to him about this too though or else he wont have any idea what you're up to. Good Luck!

More intimate? Hard to imagine anything more intimate than that. Do you mean more affectionate?
Why is everybody's mind always in the gutter. Really, this can be done with a PG rating. Affection and intimacy are a whole lot more than sex, and sex is the natural outcome of affection and intimacy. Maybe when you grow up, you'll see that clearly.

Both have to participate in being intimate, so why don't you take the initiative, and be more intimate first...guide him along and maybe he'll take your lead.
