If you mean the order of succession if a president dies, resigns or is removed from office that would be the
1. vice president.
2. The speaker of the House of Representatives.
3. President pro tempore of the United States Senate.
4. Secretary of State.
5. Followed by members of the Cabinet. And that would be first up the Secretary of the Treasury.
There is no throne in the United States. The U.S. has had one emperor and that would be His Imperial Majesty Emperor Norton I.
He issued his own currency that was honored locally, had his own box at the opera and even after his death his dog was permitted to watch. He commanded that President Lincoln marry Queen Victoria but that romance didn't take off.

Following Washington, Buchannan, Bill Clinton and George W Bush, there`s Dan Brown. They`re some of the few people who have cared to do something for America, for the good and for the worst, I mean.
