Was it wrong for Kim Basinger to release the tape of Alec Baldwin cursing his 11 year old daughter out?

Yeah. She's being a vindictive b*tch. They need to act like adults, resolve this in court and do what's in the best interest of their child. Trying to make the father/mother of your child look bad does not help the kid. Baldwin needs to grow up and maybe takes some parenting classes or some anger management. Disciplining your child should not involve berating or name-calling. This is his kid not his Hollywood agent or manager and he shouldn't be taking his anger with Basinger out on their 11-year-old daughter.

If she leaked this to the press. Then yes! she was wrong to do so. She pulled her daughter into the spotlight

I've said some really dumb things in front of my parent with guest or friends around. However my parents wouldn't yell at me until all the guest had left. (And they never used profanity no matter how angry they were) My point is that they didn't want to humiliate me.

Kim Basinger not only showed the world how vile Alec Baldwin can be, but she showed us that she doesn't care about her child's feelings. That now the girl goes to school and her friends will smile and wave at her but the moment they (think) she's out of earshot. (And we rarely ever are) they will start with the gossip. Did you hear....? My God her own father... and of course the jokes that her enemies will make. From pig sounds to "do you smell bacon?" Sue-ee calls and pig drawings. This child is no longer below the radar but a target for every vile joke they can think of. Its just how kids are.

And, The media that said they don't want to hurt the VT survivor by not playing the Cho tapes anymore. Will gleefully play this tape embarrassing an 11 year old girl until they drained ever bit of rating points they can. All the while cursing Kim for releasing it. They will play it and then say Kim is terrible person for giving us this tape. She has hurt her child with this. Let's play it again. They will take no blame for having played it. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Both parents in this situation have failed miserable. And their own daughter is first casuality in this "War of the Roses" they have involved her in.

Being a divorced dad, yes. Their divorce has been going on for about 2 years now. This has got to be one of the nastiest cases in Hollywood history. Maybe now you can see how Kim Bassinger has manipulated the child Ireland against Alec. They are both trying to win at all costs, unfortunately the cost will be the child. I know for one thing, the only people making money is the lawyers.

I don't know whats going on with them but I think releasing that call makes Kim look like a vindictive ***** and Alec just sounds super frustrated. For the sake of their daughter they both need to stop playing this out in the media and work it out privately.

The only reason anyone is interested in all this is because they are rich and famous. Their are many children that go through way worse then having a parent say some means things......
Anyways it was very mean and NO he shouldve talked to her in that way. First I was thinking (while I was listening to the msg) that if she is a teenager then maybe she is a spoiled brat and that she deserved it but then he said 12 or 11 (dont you know how old your child is?) Thats too young to be speaking to them like that. He really showed how selfish and an a** he can be like it was an inconvience for him to make a call and OMG she didnt answer.....I wonder why she wouldnt want to talk to him...? Hmmm?

What Alec did may not be correct, but, what Kim did not right either. It makes me question what she has done off camera. Many people do the same, but, point the finger to remove suspicion from themselves. It just seem funny she video this as I feel she manipulating the circumstances and has something she hiding that Alec can not prove. But, this my opinion.

I think yes and no. I think yes because he needed to see it to see what kind of a person he is. So he can get help for it. BUT I think no, because its going to hurt his career, and the way all his fans think of him. If I were Kim I would have just shown it to him in private and told him he needs to get help. and then ask if thats how he wants the 11 year old child to be like that when she grows up.

Although there was no law broken, it is an ethical violation of privacy between father/daughter.

Now, mind you, I enjoyed listening to the audio tape on CNN today.
It was nice to see Mr. Perfect twist in the wind by losing control!

But on the other hand, that wacky (and so very hot) Kim was wrong to give this to the media.
Just goes to show that a pretty face doesn't mean a pretty heart!

God - I LOVE Tinseltown politics...where all put on a face of politically-correct beautiful people, but in reality are just as ugly as Marylin Manson depicted them in his video "The Beautiful People" (see link below for video!).

I think Kim Bassinger is very "spiteful"......
under what "circumstances "did this happen?...... "Kim" seems like the type of person who would bad mouth her husband and put the child between them.....and burst his "bubbles".....and she knows he has that tendency.....let's say she would be very good at provoking a situation.
Personally I think they are both a little strange.....but "little Miss Perfect" has her own flaws.....is she really mad at what he said.......or is she loving every minute of this.
They are both very "immature".

I just read what he said on the "internet"....It definately sounds like "Perfect Kim" is brainwashing her "daughter" to be very disrespectful....towards her father.......I say Kim is a b****. I really don't think he is the greatest person in the world......but this is his child......and for her own personal reasons.....it sounds like she is deliberately "using" her own child in her little "war"......I think she is the one that should keep away from the "child"....she is really going to have a bad impact on her personality...which will last a lifetime....
