Study, hon. Look for books by Scott Cunningham, Janet Farrar and Gavin Bone, and Isaac Bonewitz to start. (Isaac's book "Real Magic" is a classic and can be found on Amazon.) AVOID books by an author called Silver Ravenwolf. (Some in the magical community call her $ilver Ravenwolf - notice the dollar sign.) Also, avoid these "1000 Ways to Cast a Love Spell" books - they're garbage.

Magic is in your mind and universal energy is there for all to use. Wands and potions and all that are fun to use and help in focusing energy, but remember that the magic is not in the stuff, the magic is in you. Magic is a neutral thing, like fire or electricity. It's what you do with it that makes is "black" or "white", "positive" or "negative".

One definition of magic is "the art of bringing about change by the power of will." Sounds intimidating, but it's really not.

There's a whole world of magic out there - good luck and blessed be.

Are you talking about pulling a rabbit out of a hat magic or making incantations to influence the world magic?

In both cases the Library is the best place to start. However, in the later instance you need to understand that we all are are connected via the "psychic web" and all contribute to the reality we collectively perceive whether we are trying to do "magic" or not. Be careful of unintended consequences.

All Magic has good and bad so when your practicing white or good magic there will be a chance you could bring something out.
Remember magic is not just putting spells on people and dressing different. Read up on Magic and all of the different kinds you will be surprised at how much you have to put in to it. Stay away from things that can posses you while your practicing magic like Mirrors or Ouija boards.
You should never practice magic alone unless you are skilled at it.

How rude people can be ... don't listen to them.
They have some really great books out there. Look at Amazon.com
Good luck.
I think she made it clear people, she means magick as in spells and the craft.

I would say look into Meditation as well. Maybe start with that.

books at the library or used book store. There are alot of books on candle or herbal spells. There are some websites that have free spells but I don;t know of any one who has had success with those. Good Luck!

well research, the library and so forth. an apprenticeship, but there are very few wizards to study under. The hardest part is separating out all the new age "magick" crap from the real stuff.

i'm guessing you mean, wiccan paganism type magic? not like, magician tricks magic?

well i don't personally do magic, but first really know which religion it is you believe in. you have to believe in it, read about it, experience it... not just one day decide you want to take part in it.

then go to google or yahoo and type it in the searc engine. im sure you'll get plenty of help there. rather than smart **** responses from people like the answers before me.

no such thing as black magic, lets start there.
I'd say history, Herbology and candle magic are good easy places to start.
And don't beleive anyone who claims that wicca is more than 60 years old...
www.witchvox.com is a good place to meet pagans but it isn't chock full of spells if that's what you are looking for.
