What prompted this question was listening to Nancy Griffith singing the song "From a Distance". What an awesome voice that girl has got! It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Wonderful stuff. What a talent she has.

Oh Lordie I could kill to have a wonderful voice

Ever since my mother said scornfully" But you can't sing!" when I told her I had a part in the end of term musical ( it was a miming part so she was half way right) I have had a complex about singing in public.

I even mime in church!!!

Everyone has the abilty to sing and in tune, it takes practice and the biggest secret is CONFIDENCE! Its the same as riding a bike or driving a car for the first time.

Practice practice practice = confidence = the abilty to sing!

one word breathing that's where the singing in tune is from get the breathing right and you have a reasonable voice or good it will help no end

Yeah,wish i could.but maybe i can and i just don't know it.i don't know,have never taken any formal singing lessons.you can sing well with lots of training.go for it.
