I just found out a few days ago that I am pregnant. 2 questions. I ordered my bridesmaid dress a couple months ago for a wedding the end of August. I don't think it will fit by then. I am small framed and a flat belly always, but I think it isn't going to work ..what do I do? I also went out a few days before I found out and drank quite a abit and smoked. Since finding out, ofcourse I have quit everything. I'm very nervous that I have done something wrong. I'm only about 3 weeks along. Please help with these questions!! Thanks.

I would definitely try to send back the dress or order a new size 2 to 3 sizes bigger asap! & try not to worry about what you did before you found out. MANY MANY women have gone through that & the baby turned out fine as long as you don't do it anymore!

Good Luck & Congrats! ;-)

You should probably call the bride and the place you ordered the dress and let them know. I'm sure you can get a different size, or find a way to alter the dress.
As far as the smoking and drinking goes, it's good that you have quit. The body has a built in defense system for babies. Most of the major organ formation does not occur until later in the first trimester. I'm sure your baby will be just fine. Just do yourself and baby a favor and don't pick the habits back up after the baby is born.

Same thing happened with me and my wedding dress. i ordered it before i knew i was preg. and so when i got fitted it was snug in the belly but also the breasts, but whne you go in to get fitted they will just have to alter the dress in the stomach and the breat area. Just don't get fitted till closer to the date cause you could change a lot more between now and then. it shouldn't be a problem if you are going to someone who is experienced and good at doing alterations. you odn't want to get a bigger size because then it might be to big everywhere else and you only need it bigger in those 2 places.

As far as the drinking and the smoking goes, just don't do it again. chances are small that anything happened but there is no way of knowing for sure right now anyways. So just don't worry about and continue taking good care of yourself!

congrats on being a mommy

Call the store where you bought the gown. They can order extra fabric that matches the dress and extend it. Ask them when you should go for your final fitting- it should be close to the wedding, make sure they leave a little "wiggle" room in the dress just in case you gain more weight between the fitting and the wedding day. As far as the drinking/smoking goes- it was one night and you didn't know you were pregnant yet. I'm sure everything will be fine. Glad you quit smoking though- you are doing the right thing. Good luck!

At 3 weeks a test won't even be positive yet, so you are probably at least 4+ weeks along. As for the dress, nope, it isn't going to fit. Google pregnant bellies and look at bellies around 5 months--pretty good size by then.
The smoking and drinking, many women have done this and no harm comes to their baby. As long as you stay away from those things now, which you already knew, baby should be just fine.
Congrats and good luck!

I'd first try to change my dress order. If you can, great. Get at least 2 sizes bigger, so you can have it altered appropriately. In 4 months you'll be showing definitely, and your boobs and butt will likely be a little bigger.

If you can't change your size, ask if you can at least order extra fabric. That way, when you have alterations, they can use the fabric to let the dress out in the appropriate areas.

Also, obviously tell the bride. She may have her own ideas.

As to the drinking and smoking, don't worry, everyone does things they wouldn't have done if they knew they were pregnant.

First, there is time to alter your dress a bit. Try calling the place you ordered it from and get suggestions (maybe up the size)...I'm sure they've had to do it before. Second, as long as you haven't smoked/drank since finding out, you and your baby will be fine. This, too happens all the time. If you are really concerned bring it up to your OB...I'm sure he/she will tell you there is nothing to worry about.

First of all, don't worry too much about the partying. Hopefully you didn't do any damage to the baby, but you should tell your doctor about it. But no more partying AT ALL until after the baby is born. And even then, if you're breast feeding, you still cannot party. Pretty much, partying is over for awhile!

You should probably tell the bride that you are pregnant so she can decide if she still wants you to be in the wedding. If you are still going to be in the wedding, you will have to have the dress altered to fit you. You will be much bigger by August, even if you are small framed.

I can help with the bridesmaid question. Call the bridal shop up where you ordered the dress and let them know. They can order extra material and put panels in. No one will ever know that y ou had to have extra material put in. They make it look perfect. But call soon so that they know so that they can order the material soon, you want it to match the color of the dress because it could be off it you wait too long to order.
