I'm from Vermont, and I hate Bush & Cheney, but the fact is this is just a hollow political manuver. Its non-binding, so it pretty much means nothing. Basically they are saying that we here in Vermont "officially" do not support Bush and his policies. Which is the general concensus here, even the hardcore republicans in my state have a hard time supporting Bush.

Patrick Leahy is a real dirtbag. I don't know who the other senator is. Vermont is the state that doesn't punish child predators. Pedophiles in Vermont have been sexually abusing children for years while Leahy and the other guy have remained silent on the issue. I'm surprised that Michael Jackson hasn't taken up residence there.
As for impeaching Bush, that would be a waste of time and a distraction from more important matters. The Dems don't have enough votes for an impeachment so why is the subject even being brought up? Guys like Leahy just like to hear the sound of their own voice.

First of all, the fact that it is the Vermont Senate is voting on this resolution is a joke since they are a state governing body. They should tend to issues within their state and no try to strong-arm the federal government.
There has been no credible evidence that the president or vice president has committed any crime that would be required to hold impeachment proceedings. There have been countless accusations such as mislead the public and they got us into an unlawful war but that is just politics not facts. If there really were credible, facts showing illegal actions by the president or vice president, the democrat lead congress would have already attempted impeachment proceedings.

"The resolution says Bush and Cheney's actions in the U.S. and abroad, including in Iraq, "raise serious questions of constitutionality, statutory legality, and abuse of the public trust."
So basically, they voted to impeach when all they have are serious questions about things.
Yeah, sounds about right. Liberals jumping to convict before any trial or evidence.

Considering until just recently there were more cows in Vermont than people, it doesn't mean all that much.

By reading the article it shows they still have no proof or grounds for impeachment. Just another tactic to distract from the fact that the Dems have not done a thing since taking office.
