Both. It takes a person of great STRENGTH to allow themselves to LOVE. Both giving and receiving Love makes you VULNERABLE to the person with whom this exchange is taking place. To love you open the possibilities of rejection, manipulation, or betrayal. You give this person the power to hurt you deeply. It is one thing to love those you already know love you, those you trust, and have mutual respect with. Some strength is required for even this as betrayal is always a possibility with these fickle selfish humans that we are. But to love people freely without conditions, that takes great strength.
So why take the risk? I believe humans are generally worth that extra effort. Every life is valuable and in need of Love. The more you love the stronger you will get, and the easier it will be to continue loving. You WILL get hurt, perhaps that is part of what makes you stronger. If you let the hurt stop you from loving you cripple yourself. You have to work through the hurt and keep loving.
Any weak coward can hate. It is out of fear of those who are perceived as "different" that people choose to attack and vilify others. But we are in realty very much the same, and the minor differences that do exist make us each uniquely special. Celebrate the differences and LOVE!

the answer is both. depending on the kind of love you are talking about there are many forms of love... like the love a child could make you stronger in the sense that you want everything to be great for your offspring.
The love of another can do either. if you love someone and it is not returned it can make you weak and vulnerable to their every action.
love is a very complicated issue even though its so simple. I kno that doesnt really make sense but if you've ever been in love or felt love you could probably understand

Both. It makes you weaker for a time, but overall, it makes you stronger. What does not kill you, only makes you stronger.

Those who are afraid to open themselves up to the possibility of love are the weak ones in my opinion. It takes a lot of strength to risk something as fragile as your heart. When our love is returned we grow stronger. Even when our hearts are broken it may take time but we grow stronger from our experience. I wouldn't trade a single tear cried out of love for the strength crying that tear has given me. Those tears have made me who I am today.

I think that Love can make you stronger, because the more love you give the more you receive. I have seven grown adult sons, and daughters, and they each have children of their own, when a granddaughter, or grandson, is born my love,. for them grows bigger, not weaker.

If weakness and strength are measured in terms of the ability to perform tasks of my own free will aimed at enhancing my own needs, then love makes me weaker, because I become consumed with fulfilling all my beloved's desires.

love makes you more vulnerable. some people view that as weaker, but it can also be viewed as stronger, because you have the courage to love, risk getting hurt, and be open to someone.

Love is an emotion and emotions can either make you stronger or weaker -- it depends how you accept and handle your emotions.

Stronger, love adds to your life. It may change the course of things, although it is usually for the better.

you must be strong to take a chance to love someone and weak enough to accept them. that lover will make you stronger by loving you in a mature, proper way. you will make them stronger in the same way.
at least that's how i think its supposed to work.
