If so, how long will it take?

This will grow back as long as it does not go too deeply into the bone structure, even then you will get some limited growth. Aquarium health and good nutrition will help a lot for this and will speed up the process which can take from 1-3 weeks depending on conditions and the severity of the wound.

Consider a Methylene Blue bath (30 minutes using tank water and MB at double regular tank strength), this will aid in disease prevention.

Also make sure your parameters are good too:
*ammonia 0
*nitrites 0
*nitrates under 40 ppm
*GH 150 ppm for guppies (or more)
*KH over 80 ppm for guppies

As long as the damage isn't into the flesh of the fish, it will grow back. How long depends on temperature, water quality and food, but it always take at least a few weeks, usually a few months.

it would advance back yet just to be certain i could upload some rigidity coat because it facilitates heal wounds , regenarates tissu and destreeses them. Plus provide them sturdy conditionning nutrition like guppy flakes, bloodwoorms ect... And in basic terms watch him heavily to work out if he starts off having issues. sturdy success.

as long as it is just the fin and not the body, yes. it's kinda like a bird, if you pull out the tail feathers, they'll grow back, but if you cut of the back end, well....

edit: ahhh MM beat me to it
