I was wondering if anyone could name a few of the most popular OLDIES songs and the name of the artist? Oldies as in the 50's.
DooWop and stuff like that.

Good ones so far. I am looking for a song for Myspace. I have a myspace because it is a good way to stay in contact with my friends and family across the states. But I really prefer oldies. I LOVE and know MANY oldies songs but I dont know the names of the songs or the bands.

Lemme see.. I'm a little more of an expert on the 60's, but here goes..

THE most popular song of the 50's was "Rock around the Clock"

Also "Jailhouse rock" by Elvis and "Hounddog"

Elvis was King of the 50's. Just look for some of his earlier songs that are super well-known.
