I think it is possible and likely. I also believe that they are way ahead of us regarding using their brain's capacities, hence why they are able to hide so well and create those crop circles you mentioned before.

I'm not Christian, but I come from a strong Hindu family, although I'm still young and wouldn't consider myself all that religious just yet. I believe though, considering how immense the universe supposedly is, there are other planets that support other life forms. Whether they are intelligent or not, I don't know. They could possibly be so advanced, they don't have religion to explain things, or they could be simple bacteria-like aliens.

I think it is most definately possible, though it poses one question in my mind and that is. Are we the unintellegent ones, cause they have been visiting us, but have we been able to visit them? and if we did do you think that the human race could tolerate such a thing or would we have to go to war with them to prove that we are the master race? Why does everyone think of them as just the existance of another intellegent life form when they may have the wisdom within their race to have a world that lives in harmony unlike our barbarric planet of murder and deceipt?

Too deep, sorry it's just my thoughts on the subject.

It's silly to think that life couldn't or wouldn't be created somewhere else in the universe. Just because we don't know about them, they don't exist? It's a tad bit arrogant to think that way.
